The IBM TS2230 Tape Drive Express Model features double the storage capacity of existing HH LTO2 drives in the market and adheres to widely supported Linear Tape-Open LTO standards. This entry-level Ultrium tape solution is intended for midrange and network tape storage environments.


The IBM TS2230 Tape Drive Express Model features two models, the IBM 3580 Model S3E and the IBM 3540 Model L3E. The TS2230 tape drive features the IBM half-high Ultrium 3 Tape Drive. It is compatible with major operating systems and ISV applications.
