Available in three models, the Dell Equallogic PS6500 series offers SAS, NL-SAS, NL-SAS SED, SATA, SSD and hybrid drive options, a dedicated management port that simplifies network storage management, and self-encrypting drives that offer greater security.

Equallogic PS6500 storage arrays are built to meet the performance and availability requirements of virtualization environments in medium to large enterprises.

System capacities: 28.8TB using 48 600GB SAS drives; 43.2TB using 48 900GB SAS or SAS SED drives

Highly scalable iSCSI SAN able to deliver affordable, enterprise-capable tiered storage
Storage controllers: Dual controllers with 4GB battery-backed cache memory per array

Drive capacities: 7,200 RPM SATA II drives available in 500GB, 1TB or 2TB; 7,200 RPM NL-SAS or NL-SAS SED drives available in 3TB
