With a six-core AMD Opteron processor, the Sun Fire X4640 was the most compact 24-to-48 core x64 rack-optimized server. The Sun X4640 is compatible with most industry-standard operating systems, including Oracle Solaris, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMware ESX. Sun ILOM Service Processor technology makes remote management easy while providing powerful configuration and monitoring capabilities, decreasing errors and system downtime.
