Offering a basic configuration system as well as a virtualization system, the Dell PowerEdge R805 server was created with a balance of virtualization performance and reduced energy usage in mind. While the basic configuration offers 4GB memory, the virtualization system offers 8GB. Each has an internal SAS RAID controller with 2 hard drives in RAID 1 configuration.
