Dell designed the R715 Server for optimal reliability and ease of use, incorporating customer-inspired features that range from hardy metal hard drive carriers and industrial-quality materials to embedded diagnostics and an interactive LCD screen. Dell PowerEdge R715 also includes an internal dual SD module to provide failover at the hypervisor level.


The motherboard and processor utilizes a AMD SR5650 chipset and offers a total of 2 processor sockets, which is the average for all Rackmount Servers. The memory of the R715 supports RDIMM and UDIMM memory and has a total of 32 DIMM Slots.The R715 Server has a maximum storage capacity of 6 TB.
