Compellent Series 40 Hardware

The Dell Compellent Series 40 controller features a 32-bit operating system and a 2.53GHz qual-core processor along with six I/O expansion slots for a maximum of 24 ports. Redundant, hot-swappable power supplies and cooling fans deliver non-stop operation.

Dell Series 40 controllers offer automatic failover capabilities and are hot-swappable when deployed in a clustered configuration. Compellent Series 40 controllers give customers the flexibility to meet growing enterprise requirements by selecting one or two controllers per system. Customers can choose to use any combination of 4Gb or 8Gb FC, 1Gb or 10Gb iSCSI, or 10Gb FCoE front-end server interconnects.
